I Want to Try Real BBQ

EN Qualia

As a self-described “puny yellow monkey”, I would very much like to try the “real barbecue” that America proudly offers to the world. You could even call it a dream of mine.

Texas is the first place that comes to mind, but from what I hear, each state has its own distinctive version of “real barbecue”.

Good grief.

The Carolinas, Missouri, Georgia…

If I wanted to eat every kind of “real barbecue”, savour it properly, and experience the depth of the culture behind it, just how much money, time, and stomach capacity would I need?

My stomach would undoubtedly be the first thing to give out.

And could an outsider from the Far East even properly experience “real barbecue” in the first place? Unfortunately, I don’t have any friends in America.

What’s even more unfortunate is that America isn’t the only place where I don’t have any friends.

But let’s leave that aside for now.
