Introduction
So far, we have organised the axioms and the theorems that can be derived from them.
As an accompanying document, this article organises a common vocabulary for handling fantasy concepts in worlds where these axioms and theorems apply.

General Definitions
Rather than axioms, these are a common vocabulary for handling fantasy concepts within this framework.
Magic
Magic is the interference, at any given time, with the reality of any given entity by any element/state that can exist within that entity’s reality.
Magic does not require:
- a caster
- life
- intent
- magical power
- an incantation
Therefore, it can encompass not only magic performed by humans, but also spirits, gods, magical artefacts, automatic phenomena, or even an island floating according to an unexplained theory.
For an island I, the reference point is not an observer, but the reality Rᵢ of the island itself.
Hostile Entity
A hostile entity is an existence or reality capable of bringing the recording of a given life’s state history to an end.
Put simply, “if it can kill you, then it is a hostile entity to you.”
Therefore, a hostile entity:
- does not need to be alive
- does not need to possess intent
- does not need to possess hostility
- does not need to have actually ended a life before
It exists purely as a relative relationship with a particular life.
If X is capable of ending life A,
X \in Hostile(A)
Therefore, a hostile relationship may be asymmetric.
Areas Left as Work-Dependent
As a rule, the axioms and theorems do not define the details of individual elements, such as the ability to interfere with degrees of freedom, time manipulation, warping, fast travel, item boxes, resurrection, immortality, memory inheritance, spirits, gods, souls, the undead, ghosts, or causal alteration.
These are all work-dependent and should be defined in a manner that does not conflict with the axioms or theorems.
For example, in the case of time manipulation, a work-specific condition such as:
“Interference with the target’s temporal degree of freedom is possible.”
would allow acceleration, deceleration, stopping, reversal, and similar effects to be constructed as numerical operations on the temporal degree of freedom.
Warping can likewise be constructed as a numerical operation on spatial degrees of freedom, but it does not have to be implemented in that way.
